Pass-through live-capture trap
Trap to catch small pests such as rats, rodents…
Constructed from galvanized steel and powder‑coated in camouflage color.
How it works: Place some bait inside the trap, arm the mechanism. As soon as the pest enters the cage, a plate triggers the mechanism and the door drops.
The animal is captured alive, allowing you to release it elsewhere.
Dimensions: 500 x 180 x 180 mm
Mesh type: 19 x 19 mm – 1.5 mm thick
Paint: RAL 6005 green epoxy powder
Instructions
How to catch rats with a guillotine-plate pass-through trap?
The guillotine-plate pass-through trap is an effective mechanical, chemical-free solution to securely catch rats. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use—cellars, attics, garages, warehouses, or agricultural areas.
Trap operation:
The trap is a cage with two openings. Inside are raised mobile guillotine-style plates. When a rat enters (lured by bait placed in the center), it steps on the central plate. Under its weight, the doors flip down and close behind it, preventing escape.
Steps for optimal use:
Choose a strategic location:
Place the trap along walls or rodents’ usual paths (identified by droppings, smudge marks). Rats follow fixed routes.
Bait the trap:
Place attractive bait (peanut butter, seeds, pet food, bacon…). Wear gloves to avoid human scent.
Set the trap:
Open the plates and ensure they are set. The trap should be stable and discreet—rats need easy access.
Monitor regularly:
Check the trap at least once a day. When captured, wear gloves to handle. Depending on local regulations or model, you may release the animal away from your home or dispatch it.
